Low & Creepy Railway bridge in the UK (5'6" clearance)

This is Bishton Level Crossing in Newport, Wales. It has a local operator controlled gated level crossing and a VERY low under-bridge. With just 1.7 metres or 5 feet 6 inches of clearance, it has to be one of the lowest bridges open to road traffic in the UK! I take a look at it and show why this bridge is also so creepy!

A normal vehicle should be able to quite easily, right? Only vans, both of the commercial and soccer mom variety, will struggle.

BMW X5 height is 1.762M tall, Lexus RX is 1.76M ... so yup, average soccer-mom vans will definitely struggle.

That’s low. I used to cycle under this, and it felt pretty damn low (having your head at the highest point probably doesn’t help):
